Chronic fatigue syndrome : feel extremely tired even after resting?

Symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome

chronic fatigue syndrome is unpredictable and its symptoms may vary, feeling better one day and feeling worse the next day. There are no diagnosis for it. Fatigue is a common symptom of many other diseases thus it is difficult to diagnose chronic fatigue syndrome.

Cure

Because the exact cause of CFS is unknown. Medication can help to relieve some symptoms of the CFS. A treatment plan can also help with some symptoms, one popular plan is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). It is a talking therapy that can help manage CFS by changing the way one think and behave. Another treatment is graded exercise therapy (GET), a structured exercise program. Exercise duration can be gradually increased by GET.

In America alone 1 million people are affected. Women are two to four times more likely to get CFS than men. CFS can occur at any age but mostly in people in their 40s to 50s.
