Green Me Campaign

Another campaign of MMPRC / Visit Maldives has been initiated this time with the Italian sustainability lifestyle magazine Green Me. The campaign will be held from July to September 2022.  This campaign aims to showcase Maldives as a close-to-heart destination for the Italian market. It also aims to deliver information on sustainability practices and initiatives in the Maldives tourism industry.

Green Me is one of the leading green lifestyle magazines in Italy established in 2009. The magazine aims to spread ideas and promote sustainable lifestyles close to nature. Green me website has more than 10 million users and 70 thousand subscribers to their monthly newsletter.

Under the Green Me campaign, Green me website will have branded articles, social media posts and a banner. In addition there will be a newsletter and a special category dedicated to Maldives.

These contents will promote segments; romance, luxury, wellness, diving and water sports in Maldives. It will also promote tourist products in Maldives such as resorts, guest houses and hotels.

The contents will highlight the sustainability practices practiced in the tourism industry of the Maldives. Which include marine life conservation, coral restoration projects and environmental awareness.

MMPRC aims to position Maldives as a leading sustainability destination in the Italian market. The Green Me campaign will also allow MMPRC members to promote their businesses. It will also highlight a personalized connection between Maldives and Italy in the tourism industry. These include history of Italian tourists some parents and grandparents who have holidayed in Maldives.

27,332 tourists visited Maldives from Italy in 2021. Approximately 50,000 Italian travelers has visited Maldives so far this year. The campaign also mark one among many campaigns initiated this year by MMPRC.
