The Maldives joins Riyadh Travel Fair

Visit Maldives under Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) with industry partners from the Maldives joining Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia representing the Maldives and aiming to market the destination in the Middle East as part of MMPRC’s marketing strategies for the Middle East market. RTF is being held in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, a significant annual event where Saudi Arabia with Gulf countries, and other countries gather to exhibit and represent tourist companies and authorities. The fair introduces tourist products, services, and investments by the companies.

This three-day international fair runs from Sunday, May 22nd to Tuesday, May 24th from 4 pm to 10.30 pm, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The 12^th edition of the fair is held after a two-year-long hiatus due to the Covid pandemic with the next fair expected to take place in 2023.

More than 300 exhibitors representing hotels and resorts, airlines, destination management companies (DMCs), tourism boards, and tour operators from over 40 countries attended the fair this year. The fair also includes 15 famous tourist destinations and new companies. In addition to the Maldives, some other destinations exhibited at the fair include Thailand, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Mauritius, and the Philippines.

A key theme of this year’s fair is “Safe and Meaningful Travel Following a COVID Pandemic World”. The event is an all-in-one stop for those who want to travel as a market for tourist products, with many business opportunities over networking events and exposures. The event will also enable visitors to explore the destinations and offers and to meet with Saudi travel agents, top investment companies, Arab influencers, and media representatives.

The MMPRC and the industry will be able to share travel guidelines and information about the Maldives with the travel trade and travelers from around the world.

This event will assist a variety of Maldives travel agency. Many travel agnecy in Maldives have previously participated in similar international travel fairs.
