Campaign with Travel Daily Media
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) / Visit Maldives has initiated a campaign with Travel Daily Media from July to September 2022. The campaign aimed at increase visibility of Maldives in the South East Asia (SEA) market.
Travel Daily Media is an online platform for tourism news, opinions and analysis for travelers. With subscribers and audience from around the world the platform focuses on hospitality, travel and tour agencies, aviation, cruising, MICE and technology.

MMPRC said that the purpose of this campaign with Travel Daily Media is to get attention and increase visibility for Maldives and representing Maldives as a top unique destination.
Articles related to Maldives will be posted on the front page of the Travel Daily Media and on their newsletter. In addition social media posts will posted on Facebook, Travel Daily Media websites’s top banner and via email sponsorship banner. An exclusive interview with MMPRC will also be posted on their website.
Furthermore, MMPRC will be marketing Maldives as one of the safest destination. It will highlight the geography of Maldives which provide privacy and security.
Additionally, they also aim to promote tourism products such as hotels, resorts, guesthouses, liveaboards and unique experiences in the destination. Latest information about Maldives and along with guidelines to tourists will also be provided from the campaign.
MMPRC further highlighted that the campaign is part of their marketing strategy for SEA market. The strategy focuses on increasing tourist arrival number to prepandemic level by the end of this year.
The campaign also aim to reorient the perception of Maldives as a honeymoon or luxury destination. It will promote other segments of tourism in the market. It also comes under a short MMPRC devised strategy to address the geopolitical climate following effects of Russia Ukraine war.
Russia and CIS numbered the top arrival tourists in recent years. MMPRC aim to mitigate the negative impact on arrival numbers by reconstructing marketing activities in selected markets to minimize the potential adverse effects on the Maldives tourism industry. So far 18,489 tourists from SEA has arrived this year.
